I enjoyed this book very much. Basil Copper was a gifted writer. In this offering he mixes horror, gothic and a pretty good whodunnit. I liked the characters. I liked the setting which was a character in and of its self. I recommend if you like old school horror.Product details

This book was written in old style language. Very hard to read. If you are reading for pleasure and want something quick do not start this book.
A bit difficult to read with all the structure issues and page skips plus the archaic language. One of the things I found most difficult was the boys with girl names. It kept throwing off my perceptions and making it difficult to take it seriously. Worth the read for expanding ones intellect but a bit slow and difficult. The end almost made it worth it.
This is an enjoyable, old-fashioned werewolf tale.
This has everything I love spooky castle, great moody descriptions, suspense, the enigmatic women and brave, loyal men. Suspenseful and fun!
U was on the edge of my seat reading this fantastic work. A great thriller full of suspense with a fantastic story.

Up until I read The House of The Wolf, I did not have a great track record with the classics offered for . This book was a pleasant surprise. Written as the experiences of a French aristocrat, almost as if it is autobiographical, during the Parisian revolt of the 1500's, this is a story of adventure, redemption and romance. To be sure a great, interesting little read. I could hardly put it down. The ending was not what I expected.
